Solace by Gadisse Lee at Ample Art August 2023
***Closing Reception Friday August 25, 6-8pm***
Gadisse describes the show: “Solace is a collection of self-portraits that hold significant meaning in shaping the person I have become. Each portrait exudes a sense of loneliness, isolation, and a detachment from reality, reflecting my struggles with verbal expression. Through photography, I discovered a profound solace in conveying my experiences. I employ various props and fabrics to amplify my artistic concepts and prefer natural or outdoor lighting to illuminate my portraits.”
